I would sell my sis' for a mustang!

...a proper car needed for the place in Florida but my budget was

not sized for that kind of car....

 

...other side of the house - lakeview...funny neighbourhood...good people.

Nobody was surprised because I restored a 912 Coupe two years

earlier -  below  a sunshade - same position Lucy arrived today.
 

...Ford sold 600.000 mustangs in 1966. Around 500.000 Coupes - 65tsd Convertibles and 35tsd Fastbacks

also called a 2+2 with foldable backseats and a lockable panel to access the trunk.
 

...The restauration folder ist solid. A four years sparetime work of a Florida selfmademan -

He needed some cash because of a wrong business partner...he had to decide

between a Ferrari 328 and "Lucy".  I was lucky.

The restauration was 80% done, but

the car had problems with engine vibrations -not the good V8 ones ;-)

We fixed the problem putting the transmission about 4 times in and out (160 pounds in your arms,

like a big girlfriend) - to find a tourgh-converter out of balance - so we made friends after some

time finding and fixing the very last of the problems.

A full restored car I finished about 200 hours later.

our moving utillity car took also 4 years of sparetime - another car

you should never sell - but I will buy it back some day - I know ;-)
 

Häbbät fell in love with a 2+2 10 years ago....with the owner 3 years ago.

so she bought her own 67 mustang -> girls! ;)

...Exept the stearing Wheel - everything new inside - you can see. Carpets,

Seats. Restored like it came out of the Ford manufacturing plant from Jacksonville, Fl

...If I drive that car I always think;

 "Why should I drive ANY other car if the

sun shines ?...

...The stock engine upgrade is a little sharper cam and complete

engine rebuild. The idle is a little bit rough but the engine feels "open" and

for a 289 quite strong.

...

Some time later we found an old opel rekord what became a child for some time - called her

after V8 Mom  "Little Lucy" with inline Four. Little rekords tend to grow with a V8 ;-)
